The editor for a PLC-object is an â†’editor in which you specify settings for the PLC, such as the assignment of a created program type.

Representation, actions and errors within editor for a PLC-object

As the settings for the PLC are displayed as ST-code is displayed within the ST-editor, you can use the features of the ST-editor (e.g. Content assist in the ST-editor) within the editor for the PLC-object as well.

You can apply the actions within ST-editor to a large part within the editor for a PLC-object. Just select a command within the editor for a PLC-object. If the result is not to your liking, undo the action (menu Edit, Undo).

The editor for a PLC-object supports a different syntax than the ST-editor. See "Errors while editing PLC-object in editor" for the correct syntax within the editor for a PLC-object.
